Tianjin Auto Inspection Center (National Saloon Car Quality Supervision and Test Center)

National Saloon Car Quality Supervision and Test Center is directly under the State National Assets Management Committee. It is the third inspection agency independent from any auto corporation and group, and the nation-level cars and parts inspection center approved and authorized by former National Technology Supervision Administration. It is authorized by other relative management department as the trial units of auto environmental protection products certification and science and technology results checkup.  In August 1999, attained the national laboratory certification. Now there is 120 staff, among which the technicians account for 90%. The capital assets is 10 million Yuan; build area is 17,400 m2; the laboratory area is 13,600m2; and more than 371 sets checking instrument. It can check the auto body, emission, collision, chassis, engine, lights, electric equipment and other annex, etc.

There set up light gasoline engines and diesel engines, heavy diesel engines and gasoline engines, and emission wear inspection laboratory, which compliance the EURO III and EURO IV requirement. Other existing laboratory including catalyst transfer assessment laboratory that can certify all kinds of environmental protection products; the real-car-collision laboratory that can do all kinds of collision experimentation under the requirement of relative rules inside and outside the country; EMC laboratory that can do the electromagnetism interference and anti-interference experimentation for Saloon Car body and electrical parts.
