Tang Dagang, the director of Vehicle Emission Control Center of State Environmental Protection Administration, is graduated from Peking University as a environmental chemistry major. He has done his research on atmosphere environmental science for many years and has done his advanced studies in particulate matter technology lab of Minnesota University in the United States. His research emphasizes on air quality, aerosol, acid rain and vehicle emission control. He is also the Standing director of Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, the deputy director of China Environmental Academy and the syndic of China Road Transportation and Safety Association. More than 10 of his articles have been published on both domestic and international academic publications and 4 national science research programs have been accomplished under his direction in recent years. He is now taking the charge of ¡°The Research on Vehicle Emission Control Policy and Implement¡±, which is a key technical program of ¡°The Ninth Five-Year Plan¡±.
