Since Beijing implemented traffic ban to yellow-labeled vehicles starting from July 1st, 300,000 yellow-labeled vehicles were forbidden to running on the road and the emission level of 3,882 vehicles was standard-exceeding during the inspection. The rate of emission standard-exceeding was obviously declined.

Since July 1st, 180,000 vehicles including 150,000 local vehicles and 29,000 exotic vehicles have been inspected. Only 3,882 vehicles were standard-exceeding, which proves that Beijing citizens have been devoting themselves to Olympic Games’ environmental protection.

Up to now, over 4,000 exotic vehicles with standard-exceeding emission were suggested to return. The number of standard-exceeding exotic vehicles has become less and less these days.

Environmental protection department and traffic administration department will strengthen environmental protection label inspection to vehicles running on the road. Vehicles without the label will be punished 200 yuan.
