According to the Yantai Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, the vehicle emission inspection station in Zhifu District has been set up, and it will be officially operational after the Spring Festival. Moreover, all the inspection stations all around the city will be put into use by the end of June this year.

Currently, vehicle emission inspection stations have been built in the urban areas, such as in Zhufu and Laishan districts. Besides, the stations are also set up in Laizhou, Haiyang, Muping and Laiyang, etc., among which the inspection stations in Laizhou and Haiyang have acquired the qualifications, while other stations are undergoing the inspection and acceptance.

Meanwhile, the relevant departments are speeding up the construction of the vehicle emission inspection network foe more efficiently monitoring the vehicle emissions throughout the city to improve the air quality.
